The Craft

Colour, Clarity, Cut

Colour

Orientation and angle are chosen to draw out a stone’s truest, most saturated hue.

Clarity

Each rough is studied so the finished gem reads clean and bright to the eye.

Cut

Precise, hand-faceted geometry returns the maximum light through every facet.

The Maker

A lifetime at the bench

Bruce Furst has spent decades learning how light moves through a stone. Working by hand from his studio in Corrales, New Mexico, he facets each gem one at a time, guided by the rough itself.

The result is a small, considered body of work — stones cut not to a formula, but to their own nature.
